Common questions about The Cottages HOA and Hobble Creek Living

What's the climate like at Hobble Creek?

You'll enjoy mild, breezy and cool summers, a vibrantly colored fall season and winters that have proven to be very mild over this past decade. There's enough snow to enjoy snow shoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling but not enough to restrict access in and out of the canyon.

Is it easy to access The Cottages? In Wintertime, too?

The canyon road is an approximate 4 percent overall grade which is why it's a Utah County favorite for those training on road bikes! Two school buses service the canyon Monday through Friday so the main canyon road is always plowed very early on winter mornings. Many canyon residents drive front wheel drive vehicles throughout the year as their primary transportation.

Is there school bus services

Two school buses come up each day. One bus drives elementary age kids while the other transports middle school through high schoolers.

Are utility services available?

Electrical power is provided by Springville City Power. Century Link provides telephone service (land line). Culinary and pressurized irrigation water is provided by Hidden Creek Water Company (best tasting water in the state!). Gas is available via owner-installed propane tanks.

Is internet and TV available?

Yes, please see the resources tab for these satellite servicers. With satellite internet service you can use wifi calling for cellular phone service.

How far is shopping?

Springville City limit is just a 12 minute drive from the front entry of The Cottages at Hobble Creek community. You'll find a Walgreens and Walmart in Springville and Costco just 5 minutes further at bordering Spanish Fork City. Go to www.springville.org for all things Springville City.
